Except from Wikipedia: Karen Casey (born April 24, 1947) is a Canadian politician. She currently represents the electoral district of Colchester North in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. She is a member of the Progressive Conservatives.
Casey (née Thompson) served as Minister of Health in the Executive Council of Nova Scotia. She grew up in Bass River.
On June 24, 2009, Casey was named the party’s interim leader, replacing Rodney MacDonald after he resigned following the party’s defeat in the 2009 provincial election.
